What is the DCCL Community Grant?
The Donate Clothes Change Lives Community Grant is an annual grant awarded by the Community Living Awards, Grants, and Bursaries Committee. It provides funding to support projects and programs that help individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.
To qualify for a DCCL Community Grant, organizations must meet the following criteria:
Can demonstrate or have demonstrated that their organization supports the Community Living Donate Clothes Change Lives Campaign by encouraging people to donate to Community Living by dropping their items off in the yellow bins, at local collection sites, or by calling for a pick-up.
Projects and/or programs must focus on at least one of the following areas concerning individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or their families:
enabling full citizenship for individuals with intellectual disabilities;
creating greater public education and awareness of inclusion;
promoting self-determination and empowerment; or
strengthening families and family support.
Must present a communication plan to recognize Community Living’s support of the project/program in the community or regional area.
When is the application due?
All applications for the 2017-2018 grant must be submitted by December 31, 2017.
Only complete, official Donate Clothes Change Lives Community Grant application forms will be considered for funding.
